Ruston Taylor McCormick joined our clan on February 6, 2010 at 12:12 am. He weighed 8 lbs 5 oz and was 21 inches long. What a joy it is to hold this precious baby in my arms, and what a miracle that God would give me a 5th blessing to rear for Him.
I am enjoying these first few precious weeks of holding a newborn. I guess the older I get and the more children I have, the more I cherish these fleeting moments of his life. Pretty soon he’ll be running around with his siblings, but for now I am content to “spoil” him as he depends on me for his every need. I just can’t get enough of his sweet baby smell and soft skin. I am totally in love with this newest son that God has entrusted to me.
The other little “r’s” are enjoying him too, and are constantly begging to hold him. Even our little Reece loves to cuddle with “baby Russon”. It is so precious to see their joyfulness over this newest addition. What a privilege to teach them that children are a heritage of the Lord and something to be desired.
I was so overwhelmed with joy as I held Ruston that first precious time, and as the tears flowed, I recall saying “God has been so good to me”… and He has!
